Massage Techniques

Swedish Massage~ A lighter technique used to relax and calm mind and body. Benefits include greater circulation, stress reduction, Elimination of toxins, increase in flexibility, decrease in Lymph flow which will make you less prone to illness.

Deep Tissue Massage~ Aimed at the deeper tissue structures of the muscles and fascia (connective tissue surrounding the muscles for structural support and protection)  Many of the same strokes used in Swedish Massage are employed, but the pressure will be more intense and the massage itself will be more focused, concentrating on specific areas rather than a general massage for the whole body.


Sports Massage
~
Deep tissue and stretching/ROM techniques for the athlete or anyone who needs a little extra stretching


Trigger Point Therapy
~A still point technique applied to various trigger points in the muscle fibers usually based on a pain tolerance scale. This technique is very useful for stubborn muscle knots.


Myofascial Release~
Moderate to deep pressure used to treat "stuck muscle fascia" and to break pain patterns by unrestricting nerve endings inturn improving muscle circulation.


Hot Stones~
Swedish massage technique performed with hot Lava stones.


Pre-Natal~
A relaxing massage for the mom to be.



Flexibility Therapy~
An intensive stretching session used to increase range of motion and flexibility.


Tandem Massage~Massage techniques performed by two therapists (4 hands)


Couples Massage~
A Swedish or deep tissue massage for two people.


Paraffin treatment~ Relieve tired achy joints or rough hands, feet or elbows with this nice warm aromatherapy wax treatment.

Cupping therapy~ An ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. People get it for many purposes, including to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage.
